NEWBURGH VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

APPARATUS

Battalion 10 is NVFD's command vehicle.  It circulates among the officers, allowing many different people to gain experience and serve as command for Newburgh.
Engine 11 is the first out engine on all structure fires and grass/brush fires.
Truck 12 is dispatched with mutual aid for surrounding departments and is the second out truck on any structure fire we receive.
Engine 17 is our newest addition.  It operates as an engine, rescue/extrication and medical if needed. It is first out on most calls.
Engine 19 is our second out engine on grass/brush fires. It also serves as a reserve Engine when all other equipment is deployed.
Squad 15 is our medical squad and primarily covers all medical runs we receive.  The squad also serves as a back up extrication unit.
Water 14 is our rescue boat.  As Newburgh is located on the Ohio River, we have a trained dive team, one of the few in the area.
Engine 16 is our old first out engine.  It is no longer in use as an active apparatus, but does serve us very well in parades and specialty events.
